Gord Brown holds pre-budget consultation meetings in riding

Brockville - Gord Brown, Member of Parliament for Leeds-Grenville will hold a series of three Pre-Budget Consultation meetings throughout the riding in February. “We held a pre-budget meeting in Brockville last year and the response was tremendous,” explains Brown. “This year we will hold meetings in three locations.” He notes that as the government prepares its next budget, that is being presented March 4, the Prime Minister, Ministers, and Members of Parliament, are consulting with Canadians. Brown will hold meetings at 7 pm, Thursday, Feb. 4 in the Conference Room at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites in Gananoque; 10 am, Tuesday, Feb. 9 at the North Grenville Community Centre theatre in Kemptville; and at 7 pm, Wednesday, Feb. 10 at Bud’s on the Bay in Brockville. The meetings are open and people can stay for the entire meeting or drop in to give their presentation and leave. Those who wish to speak to their presentations can do so. Anyone who is unable to attend the meetings can submit their recommendations to Brown in writing at 27 King Street East, Brockville, ON K6V 1A7 or by email to browng@parl.gc.ca. All submissions will be forwarded to Finance Minister Jim Flaherty. Leeds-Grenville residents can also submit their suggestions directly to the finance department by following the links at www.fin.gc.ca. |
