I am pleased to be here today to help announce over $100,000 in funding for the Shakespeare Blossoms 2007 program.
This program, now in its eighth year, has brought federal funding of close to $750,000 to Prescott through the Skills Link program in conjunction with Service Canada, St. Lawrence College and the St. Lawrence Theatrical Company.
The program helps young people who face barriers to employment gain job skills while at the same time helping the community.
There is a long list of projects the program will undertake that will enhance the town and assist with the development of this year’s theatrical productions.
